Dolby screens Pixar’s ‘Brave’ with Atmos Audio at Two Cinemark/Century Locations
June 25, 2012

Many movie goers love the full sensory experience. Dolby
recently announced its new Atmos surround sound experience into
Disney Pixar's weekend top box office hit, 'Brave'.
Dolby Atmos is the latest sound technology from Dolby
Laboratories, bringing a powerful new listening experience with
more natural, realistic sound. The new sound format gives customers
the ultimate experience by linking speakers along a theatre's
front, rear and side walls, as well as overhead. It can play up to
128 channels of sound at once (Via Dolby Laboratories, Inc.: http://investor.dolby.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=683359).
So far, only fourteen theatres have this new sound system, two of
which are from Cinemark/Century theatres: Century at Pacific
Commons and XD (Fremont, CA) and Cinemark West Plano and XD (West
Plano, TX).
Did you see 'Brave' this weekend? If so, were you one of the few
who attended our Century at Pacific Commons or Cinemark West Plano
theatre and experienced Dolby Atmos?
